Do you want to find a way to practice what you love?

Our hospital has been on a journey for many years, with a foundation of excellent conventional medicine and a fundamental respect for each patient and client at our core.  Over the last fifteen years we have learned and grown as a team, improved our conventional medicine, developed knowledge centers around holistic modalities and achieved greater companion animal wellness.  We believe that nutrition is at the base of wellness and offer comprehensive individualized pet nutrition plans as well as client classes.  Two of our five doctors are certified in acupuncture, one in homeopathy, and one in Chinese herbal medicine. We use Chinese herbs, western herbs, and nutritional supplements in our practice.  One of our veterinarians is currently in chiropractic training, and we are planning for stem cell therapy and PRP soon.

Our fully-computerized clinic has a therapeutic laser, full in-house laboratory capabilities, direct digital radiography (including dental) and a full surgical suite.  We have several excellent specialty and emergency centers close to us and communicate routinely with specialists. We refer all after-hours emergencies.  Our clients want top-level care and our holistic client base is growing rapidly.

It isn’t hard to imagine the perfect person to join our practice, but we also recognize that we are all striving and growing!  Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Friendly, upbeat problem-solver.  Problems arise sometimes – we need someone who can solve them cheerfully.
  • Excellent veterinarian – strong skills in surgery, dentistry and anesthesia.  Clever, thoughtful diagnostician and good at internal medicine.
  • Life-long learner – we would welcome someone with training/certification in a holistic modality, but if you want to dive in and learn we will be happy to mentor and support you in your training.
  • Good teammate – our staff members are fun to work with!  We need someone who likes that sort of atmosphere.
  • Well-organized and efficient.  Sometimes it gets very busy and we all smile and do our best.

We will consider a new graduate, but ideally our practice is a better match for someone with a few years of experience.  Doylestown is a charming small town in the heart of historic Bucks County, with great access to outdoor hiking, biking, and parks.  It is a short trip for skiing, the beach or going into Philadelphia or New York.

We offer a competitive salary with attainable production bonuses, as well as health insurance, PLIT, paid vacation, a generous CE stipend, licensing fees, employee pet health plan, and professional memberships and dues.  We think you’ll like it here and we look forward to meeting you!

Please email inquiries to lweis@doylestownveterinaryhospital.com, and learn more about us at www.doylestownveterinyhospital.com. We look forward to meeting you!
