It is springtime and winter is finally over. The snow has melted and everywhere we see plants starting to grow, knowing they will bloom big and beautiful. We look around at all the changes occurring during winter and know many more are coming in the spring. The same is happening for the AHVMA. The Board of Directors, committees and multiple task forces have accomplished more than we thought was possible, with many more beautiful changes coming our way.
As I count down the last 6 months of my presidency, I feel an even stronger momentum to achieve the goals and dreams of our members. Many of us are diligently working to complete tasks on our strategic plan. This fun and engaging group makes me proud to be an AHVMA member. Allow me to share some of these accomplishments, as well as what we are working on now.
First, the AHVMA has launched a new and improved website. Our task force has done a remarkable job, yet it is just the beginning. We would love to hear your thoughts for continued improvement and a more interactive website. We may not be able to make all the changes, but our task force will look into each and every suggestion and make the decisions to create the best AHVMA website ever. Please forward your ideas to email@example.com and we will pass them on to the great group of members working on it. Check back frequently to see how your suggestions improve the face of the AHVMA.
We have also saved money, become more efficient, and updated our AHVMA office to better serve You, our AHVMA members. When you get a chance, let our fabulous office staff, Lauana and Wendy, know just how much you appreciate them and all they do for the AHVMA. Our membership is growing and we are continuing the great forward momentum that exploded in Portland. If you were not there to experience it, you missed out! Don’t miss out again – join us in Augusta, Georgia on October 17-20th, 2015, for our next astonishing conference.
This year in Georgia will not just be a conference – it will be a Huge Celebration! We, the AHVMA, are celebrating 30 years as an incorporated organization. The history of this revolutionary organization is being collected and documented by a task force that includes some of our founding elders. We will be joining together in Augusta, a city on the border of Georgia and South Carolina, just a beautiful scenic drive from Atlanta. Augusta, known as “The Garden City,” is a vibrant city on the magnificent Savannah River. It boasts world-class museums of art and history. Make plans now to join us for this great celebration. We’d love to see you there.
Not only has the AHVMA been busy on our own, we have also been working diligently with the AHVMF to help with fundraising for integrative research and our student organization (SAHVMA). We look forward to providing trusted data and excellent education on our integrative approach to medicine.
